Broiled Salmon

Season salmon with salt, oil, pepper, etc. (eg. Drizzle with grapeseed oil, rub with salmon seasoning)

Heat oven to 425 F and set rack so it salmon will be 6 inch from broiler.

Switch to broil on HI

Broil salmon until browned (5-7 minutes). If need be, remove after 5 minutes and put on lower rack for 3-4 minutes.

Thermometer temperature:
Preferred: Remove at 120
Safe: Remove at 140. Cooked at 145

Does great in a toaster oven as well.

Furikake Crusting Version

  1. Preheat to 425F
  2. Season with sesame oil and salt
  3. Optionally broil skin side to crisp it first and then flip.
  4. Cover top and sides in furikake
  5. Broil 5-7 minutes. Lower rack for 3-4 minutes if it has not hit 120F
